For a paralegal, being well-versed in procedural matters and substantive law is equally important. However, the ability of a newly hired paralegal to hit the ground running cannot be overemphasized as a trait that many firms value. Hence, in the design of this program, a strong emphasis is placed on communication skills, a mastery of document and file management and proficiency in procedural matters in the area of civil litigation.
